2005 Summer Camp in Hong Kong

Contract Length of Camps:        19th to 24th July, 2005 (6 days)
Expected Dates of Arrival:  
      July 18th, 2005
Expected Dates of Departure: 
  July 24th, 2005
Salary: HK$3,000
Accommodation: free shared accommodation at university hostel with air-conditioning
Teaching Schedule:
Mornings :  The teachers will teach from 9:00 am to 11:45 am for 4 mornings, made up of 3 sessions of 45 minutes with 2 breaks of 15 minutes in between.  One morning  for opening ceremony.
Lunch break: 12:00 noon to 2:30pm.
Afternoons: one afternoon for closing ceremony,  one afternoon for
exchange with Hong Kong students, one afternoon for visiting Ocean park. The teachers will teach four afternoons from 2:30 – 3:15 pm , from 3:30-5:00 pm for different kinds of English activities.
Evenings:  One Evening welcome party from 7:30-9:00pm
                One Evening Barbecue outside of the camp between 6:30-8:30pm.
                One Evening free talk from 7:30-9:00pm
                One Evening farewell party from 7:30-9:00pm
Meals:   Paid for by the Organizer.
Age of Students: 13 -17 years

1. The Organizer does not pay for airfare.  Provided free by the Organizer are boarding, lodging
    and traveling during their stay in Hongkong. 
2. What level of English are the students at?
    The students are from age 13 to 17, most of them know about 1,000 -2,000 English words.
3. Am I given a curriculum?
    Upon arrival at the camp, teachers will be informed of the grade they will teach.  Teaching
    material  will be printed and distributed to students before the camp begins.  Main emphasis is
    placed on conversational English training.   The objective is to help students use what they
    have learned  through listening to and speaking of English.
4. Will I have a Chinese-speaking teaching assistant to help me?
    Yes, there is an English speaking assistant in each class (about 20-25 students) to help you.
