Brief Introduction of School£º
Baoding Women¡¯s Vocational High School (the former Baoding No. 14 Middle School which was established in 1974) was approved by Education Department of Hebei Province in 1985. The school is subordinated to the Education Bureau of Baoding City. It¡¯s a National Key Secondary Vocational School. The transportation is very convenient because it is located in North China, the triangle centre of Beijing, Tianjin and Shijiazhuang. With the leadership of successive Principals, the school is developing at a rapid speed. Now it has transformed from a normal senior high school to a multi-functional vocational school which combined academic education and short-term training together. There are 3000 students and 197 teachers in the school. The Electronic Department, Tourism and Hotel Management Department and Preschool Education Department are the three characteristic departments in the school. More than 10 specialties are provided for the students, the school brings up a large number of professional and excellent graduates for the society and they do great contributions to the development of the local economy. Because of the outstanding achievements, our school has been successively named as ¡°National Advanced Vocational School of Occupational Guidance¡±, ¡°Trustworthy Technical Staff Training Base for Enterprises¡± etc.
The school sets ¡°female¡± and ¡°vocation¡± as the fundamental point, orients by employment education and implements curriculum reform and innovation to improve the teaching quality. It has achieved outstanding results and cultivates a large number of qualified graduates. The school implements the moral education working mode which combines teachers¡¯ participation and students¡¯ self-education together. Each teacher and student is both the executor and beneficiaries of the education. The school advocates all the students learn how to behave well first and then learn how to work. The school focuses on creating spirits of self-esteem, self-love, self-reliance and self-improvement, and creating a positive and self-improvement campus atmosphere. The school carries out the routine management work strictly and solidly. Meanwhile, the school tries to manage the details affairs creatively. It highlights the spirits of self-education, self-management, self-service and self-improvement. The school also established a students¡¯ self- management institution which based on the campus activities and social practice to improve students¡¯ comprehensive working abilities.
The school has rich experience in cooperating with other countries, it successively has had delegations from more than 40 countries and districts, including USA, Canada, South Korea, Japan etc. In 2003, the school got the qualification to enroll foreign students, which has laid a good foundation for further contact with overseas schools, worldwide cooperation, and various development of the school. The school has achieved cooperation memos with Russian nationality art academy and Douglas Mawson Institute of technology in South Australia. It is the sister school of Mizi commercial college of Japan and Whangarei Girls¡¯ High School of New Zealand. It has cooperated with the Albeda College since 2006, long-term cooperation contract was signed between the two schools. Teachers and students¡¯ exchange program has been doing each year. This cooperative project has been the most successful sample among the Co-Development Program between Hebei province and South Holland.

BA + TEFL cert. (+some teaching experience preferred)
Monthly Salary: RMB 5000 ( 20 teaching hours per week)
Accommodation: a private apartment with private bedroom, washroom, color TV with cable, air-conditioner, telephone, microwave, washing machine, shower, 24 hour hot water supply, free supply of electricity (monthly maximum of RMB200 per head), free water, complete supply of bedding (including bed-Sheets, blankets, pillows and towels).
Internet access (Free): computer with internet access (broadband) in the school and apartment.
Ages of students: 16-18
Paid Holidays: Two days off per week.
New Year in January (1) day; *Chinese New Year in January/February (3) days; Qing Ming Festival in April (1) day; Labor Day in May (1) day; Mid-autumn Festival in August (1) day; *National Day in October (3) day;
*The common practice in China for golden week holiday in October is such that the employee will have 7 consecutive days off. Winter holiday in Jan and Feb about(40)days.
Travel allowance: 2200RMB per school year
Airticket reimbursement: On completion of one school year contract, a travel allowance RMB 8,000 will be made.
