About East China Institute of Technolog
Formerly known as East China Institute of Geology, East China Institute of Technology was founded in 1956 in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. It moved to its present location -- Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province in 1959
Today, ECIT is a comprehensive university with 23 departments and 1,500 professors, associate professors and instructors. Two of them are prominent members of the ChineseAcademy of Engineering.
The Institute offers over 50 undergraduate and 13 graduate programs in the following fields: Earth Science, Hydrology, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Material Science, Water Resource Management, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Life Science, Economics, Business Management, Law, Chinese and Foreign Languages Study, Arts, Mathematics, Physics, etc. Some of the programs are directly funded by the Chinese Ministry of Education for their excellence.
ECIT has three campuses: two in Fuzhou, a city with a 2100 year history, and one in Nanchang, the capital city of JiangxiProvince.

ECIT is known for its excellence in its innovative ways of teaching and learning that help students better prepare for their future careers. Its flexible credit system encourages students to acquire knowledge from other disciplines and its lab technicians work seamlessly with professors to provide timely lab projects so that students learn to handle real world problems. Coming from an engineering school, ECIT emphasizes hands-on practice and has been working closely with industries to provide its students with much needed opportunities of internships.
ECIT realizes the importance of scientific research vis-ид-vis teaching and invests heavily in research facilities and projects. It operates 11 research institutes in the following areas: Uranium Geology, Geophysics, Hydrogeology, Hydro-Geochemistry, Industrial Chemical Analysis, Isotope Hydrology, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Nuclear Fuel Circulation, and Life Science.New facilities and equipments are being added constantly. Thanks to its facility and excellence in nuclear science, ECIT has been authorized to host training programs for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on an annual basis.
ECIT prides itself in its state-of-the-art facilities for its students. All three campuses are inter-connected with advanced computer networks and its high speed Internet access is supported by dedicated fiber optic cables connecting offices, classrooms and even student and teacher dormitories. Broadband wireless access is also available in many hot spots on campus, making ECIT a cyber-learning center. To make learning even more convenient, ECIT has built three libraries; each campus has one of its own.They are open to students and faculty members alike. In addition, each department has its own special library, with collections on its specialized subjects. ECIT has one of the largest GeologicalMuseums in the country, and a Uranium Deposits Exhibition Hall, both popular places for our students to visit.
The main campus in Fuzhou, with its extensively landscaped gardens, is widely acknowledged as the most beautiful campus in JiangxiProvince. Many acres of natural park, trees, lawns, lakes and birds have created an oasis in the heart of a burgeoning city. From its theatre venues to its colorful extracurricular activities and its first class sports facilities, ECIT has combined learning with culture and relaxation providing a balanced environment essential for academic success.
Presently, ECIT is taking giant strides to advance its research and reach out to the outside world for cooperation and collaboration. From Fuzhou to Nanchang, from East China Institute of Geology to East China Institute of Technology, ECIT has traveled a long way. The future is yet to come.

Teaching hours: 16 hours per week

Airticket reinbursement: The school will reimburse the teacher the cost of round trip air-ticket on completion of the one school year contract and RMB4000 on completion of the half year contract.
