Introduction of Sichuan International Studies University
Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) was founded in April 1950 under the care and guidance of Zhou Enlai, Deng Xiaoping, Liu Bocheng and other proletarian revolutionaries of the People¡¯s Republic. It has so far gone through five stages in its development, beginning as the Russian Training Corps of Southwest Military and Political University, People's Liberation Army; then becoming the Russian Group of No. 2 Senior Infantry School, PLA; next the Russian Department of Southwest People's Revolutionary University; later the Southwest Russian School and finally Sichuan Foreign Language Institute. (currently known as Sichuan International Studies University, or SISU). Mr. Guo Moruo, the noted scholar and calligrapher, personally wrote the calligraphy for the university¡¯s name.
Located at the foot of Gele Mountain and by the Jialing River in Chongqing, China¡¯s fourth municipality directly under the central government, SISU covers an area of 1,100 mu with quiet, secluded and beautiful surroundings. Because of its pleasant campus, the municipal government granted the college the title of ¡°a garden-like work unit¡± of Chongqing.
Through 60 year's of development, the school has grown from the initial Russian college with only one major subject into an international studies university that offers education on different levels and in different forms, embracing post-graduate education, undergraduate education, 3-year college education, higher vocational and technical education, continuing education, and intensified language training courses. It is a college which offers a dozen foreign language courses such as Russian, English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, Korean, Italian, Hindi, and Vietnamese while specializing in a dozen other disciplines such as translation, law, journalism, radio and television, advertising, Chinese as a foreign language, Chinese language and literature, the media broadcasting, tourist management, human resources management, international economics and trade, diplomacy, international politics, and business English. The college currently has 18 academic departments and subordinate colleges, 2 independent colleges, 26 specialties for undergraduate education, 18 master degree programs and a number of test centers at the national level, such as TOEFL, IELTS, TestDaF, GRE, HSK, JPLT, and NAETI. At the same time, SISU is also a foreign language training center for Chongqing¡¯s party members.
Inter-college exchanges have been established between SISU and more than 60 universities in other countries such as the United States, Great Britain, France, Russia, Germany, Japan, Spain, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Cuba, and Egypt. Extensive cooperation and exchanges have been going on between SISU and other Chinese colleges in the training of teachers and education of undergraduates and postgraduates.

Monthly Salary: 6,000RMB
Teaching hours: 16-18 hours per week
Accommodation: A free private apartment will be provided. The apartment includes two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom (With air-condition, TV, Bed, Sofa. etc.). free ADSL Access . Fridge, and cooking utilities.

Paid Holiday: 2 days off per week; public holidays in China
