Introduction of Maple Leaf Education System

Maple Leaf Educational System's mission is to provide quality educational programs from pre-school through university that blend the strengths of East and West in education. The programs offered incorporate the strong work ethic, strict discipline, memorization skills, and drive for excellence developed over a millennium in China's educational system.

This is blended with a western educational program that incorporates a wide variety of teaching strategies and learning activities, such as listening, seeing, doing, speaking, discussing, reading, writing, analyzing and creating. Higher level thinking skills, problem-solving approaches and group work are implemented throughout.

A Brief Introduction of Tianjin Teda Leaf International School

Tianjin is the fourth high school to be opened and operated by Maple Leaf Educational Systems in China. The School's program reflects the vision of Mr. Sherman Jen, the founder, to provide a quality educational program that blends the best of East and West.

The Tianjin (TEDA) Maple Leaf International School (ESL and grades 10-12) and the quality Chinese Elementary (K-6) and Middle (7-9) Schools are located on this beautiful campus located in the TEDA (Tianjin Economic Development Area).

Students are taught in English by British Columbia certified teachers. British Columbia's Ministry of Education conducts annual, on-site inspections of the school and certifies its educational program as one that meets British Columbia standards and learning outcomes. Tianjin (TEDA) Maple Leaf high school students are enrolled as British Columbia, Canada students, complete the same courses, are assessed by the same standards, meet the same learning outcomes and write the same Grade 10, 11 and 12 provincial examinations as any student resident in British Columbia. Grade 12 graduates receive the same high school (Dogwood) diploma and transcript of marks issued by British Columbia's Ministry of Education as any resident student in British Columbia.

Number required: 4-6 Posts

Contract Period: mid-Feb, 2012 to end-Jan,2013

Requirements: BA and TESOL /TEFL. Some teaching experience preferred

Monthly Salary: 14,000-16,000RMB

Teaching hours: 25 hours per week

Accommodation: A free private apartment will be provided. The apartment includes two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom (With air-condition, TV, Bed, Sofa. etc.). free ADSL Access . Fridge, and cooking utilities.

Internet access (Free): internet access at the apartment

Age of students: Primary to High school students

Insurance: The same treatment as the colleagues in our school

Closest Airport: Tianjin airport

Paid Holiday: 2 days off per week; public holidays in China

Airticket reinbursement: The school will reimburse the teacher the cost of round trip air-ticket on completion of the one school year contract.
