Hunan, located in the middle of Southern China. The name of Hunan was derived from its geographic site, to the south of Dongting Lake, meanwhile, because Xiang is the largest river in this region, it is also called "Xiang" for short. The Northern part of Hunan backs on the Yangtze River and opposites Hubei Province, water transportation is convenient. It is within the opening up and developing zone in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River; Southern Hunan borders Guangdong and Guangxi province, being adjacent to the coastal opening up zone, Hongkong and Macau, and a through container truck can reach Hongkong at the same day;Hunan connects with Jiangxi in the east, with Chongqing and Guizhou in the west. so basically Hunan is positioned between the coastal opening up zone in Southern China and Yangtze Valley which adds to its geographical advantage.Hunan Province is divided into 13 provincially administered municipalities and 1autonomy, its capital is Changsha City., with 66,977,000 populations at present, among which 23,776,800 in city and town and 43,200,200 in countryside.

Contract Period:    

From 22 February  2008 to 30 June 2008               (4-month contract)

From July 2008 to August 2008                             (1-month contract)

From 01 September 2008 to 31January 2009           (5-month contract)

From 22 February  2008 to  31January 2009           (11-month contract)

Requirements:    BA and TESOL /TEFL.  Some teaching experience preferred

Monthly Salary:  RMB 6,000

Medical Allowance :600/ 6 months; 1200/ one year

Teaching hours:  12 hours per week Overtime on teacher's  prior consent and payable at RMB80/hr beyond  the contracted basic hours. 

Accommodation:  Shared apartment with private bedroom, washroom, color TV with cable,   air-conditioner, telephone, microwave, washing machine, shower, 24 hour hot water supply,  water, complete supply of bedding (including sheets, blankets, pillows and towels). 

Internet access (Free):  computer with internet access (broadband) in the apartment

Three meals a day at school

Age of students:  children to adult
 

Number of students per class in the centre:  30  

Teaching outside the centre:   The centre contracts to deliver teaching at schools outside the language school.   Transportation will be provided with the company of a centre staff throughout the journey.

Insurance:  Teachers will be covered with an accident to a maximum compensation of RMB60,000.  Therefore, teachers are advised to take adequate insurance cover before leaving their own country.

Sightseeing Tour: The Employee shall enjoy one free tour to Zhangjiajie or Fenghuang.

 Travel Allowance: On completion of the each term contract, an air-ticket reimbursement RMB 2,000 will be made.
 

Paid Holiday:  Two days off per week ; Labor  Day in October (7 days); New year 1 day; Chinese New year* in February ( 7 days ) Summer Holiday(10 days)

*The common practice in China for golden week holidays is such that the employee will have 7 consecutive days off.  (3 days paid holiday, 2 weekend days, 2 extra days to be compensated for by employee working on weekends either before or after the golden week).
