Zhuhai is situated in the southwest of the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong Province. It faces Hong Kong on the east across the Lingding Ocean, Macau on the south. Zhuhai has a subtropical monsoon climate. The city enjoys adequate sunshine and rainfall. The annual average temperature is 22.4 C. Zhuhai is a garden-like seaside tourist city, where flowers blossom all year round. In 1999, it was granted ¡§International Award for Best Practices in Improving the Living Environment by United Nations Center for Human Settlement and was the only winner of the award in China. Besides, it won series of titles such as Top Tourist City of China,State Garden Green City,State Environmental Protection Model City and State Hygienic City.

In 2000, Zhuhai was granted the title of National Level Ecology Demonstration Zone by the Sate Administration of Environmental Protection. Zhuhai adjoins Macau and is close to Hong Kong. Through the international-standard Zhuhai Airport, people can go to destinations all over the world.

China International Training Centre (Zhuhai) is a newly established language centre and under Hong Kong management.It is owned by China Connection Education Service (www.teachenglishinchina.com) as its fourth language training institution in China (other locations include Hongkong; Guangzhou China; Huizhou China). The centre is complete with our own designed curriculum, strong academic support from Hongkong.

It has since conducted courses like Cambridge English for Youngsters and Middle School, Oral English for Children and Teenagers, IELTS, social and business English training for adults, corporate training, etc.  It is one of the best English training Centre in Zhuhai City.  Our contribution has been appreciated by both students and parents, in addition to the local citizens and organizations.

Full-time English Teachers needed

Number required: 2 Posts

Contract Period:    

From 20 February 2009    to 30 June 2009              (4 month contract)

From 20 February 2009    to 31 January 2009         (11-month contract)

Requirements:    BA and TESOL /TEFL.  Some teaching experience preferred

Monthly Salary:  RMB 5,500 -7,000

Monthly Salary:   RMB 5,500  (20hrs.)

                              RMB 6,000  (22hrs)
                              RMB 7,000  (25hrs.)
Teaching hours:  Overtime on teacher's  prior consent and payable at RMB80/hr beyond  

the contracted basic hours. 

Accommodation:  Shared apartment (or a private apartment ) with private bedroom, washroom, color TV with cable,   air-conditioner, telephone, microwave, washing machine, shower, 24 hour hot water supply, free supply of electricity (monthly maximum of RMB200 per head), water, free supply of drinking water, complete supply of bedding (including sheets, blankets, pillows and towels). 

Internet access (Free):  computer with internet access (broadband) in the school from 8:30am to 9:30pm everyday.
 

Age of students:  children to adult
 

Number of students per class in the centre:  18   (Different for in-school teaching  contracts   or in-company training programs - see below).

Teaching outside the centre:   The centre contracts to deliver teaching at schools or organizations outside the centre.  The number of students will vary.  Transportation will be provided with the company of a centre staff throughout the journey.

Insurance:  Teachers will be covered with an accident to a maximum compensation of RMB50,000.  Therefore, teachers are advised to take adequate insurance cover before leaving their own country.

Sightseeing Tour: The Employee shall enjoy one free tour to Hong Kong or Macau or a nearby city. (For 7-month and 10- month contract only)

Paid Holiday

Two days off per week. New Year in January (1) day; *Chinese New Year in January/February (3) days; Qing Ming Festival in April (1) day; Labor Day in May (1) day; Mid-autumn Festival in August (1) day; *National Day in October (3) day;

               *The common practice in China for golden week holiday in October is such that the employee will have 7 consecutive days off.  (3 days paid holiday, 2 weekend days, 2 extra days to be compensated for by employee working on weekends either before or after the golden week). 

Paid Holiday Annual Leave (for the 11-month contract only)

The teacher shall be credited with 7 days annual leave upon commencement of employment with the School - 7 days of which have to be taken during the winter school holiday period in January /February.

Travel Allowance for a 4 month contract  On completion of the 4 month contract,  a travel allowance  RMB 1,500 will be made.

Travel Allowance for a 11 month contract On completion of the 11 month contract, a travel allowance RMB 4,500 will be made
