Shanghai Foreign Language
Activity Center for Youngsters is part of Shanghai International Studies
University (SISU).
The Center was established by Shanghai municipal authorities. It's duty
is to help local youngsters to learn foreign
languages through different kinds of activities including summer or winter
camps.
N.B.: Exact starting &
finishing dates are subject to slight changes.

Contract
Period:
10 January 2004 to 20 January 2004
Salary: RMB 3,850 [Basic
remuneration of RMB3,400 plus RMB450 for English corners in 3 evenings.]
Accommodation: in school's guest
house, 3 persons sharing one air-conditioned room
Teaching Schedule: 6 periods each of 50
minutes duration a day, 3 periods in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.
No activities in the evenings, except English corners in 3 evenings. On
two afternoons, there
will be sight-seeing in Yangzhou City.
Meals & Accommodation:
Free breakfast from January 7 until January 10 plus accommodation
Age of Students: 7 to 17 years
Expected date of arrival: January 7, 2004 after 1pm if
teacher participates in the free tour before the camp;
January 10, 2004 (before 1pm in Shanghai) if
teacher is not participating in the free tour and only claiming
cash in
lieu. Teachers will be driven by van to Yangzhou City which is 3 hours
drive from Shanghai. There will be an opening ceremony in the evening of
January 10th.
Expected date of departure: January 20,
2004 afternoon, unless teacher is joining the free tour after the
camp
Travel bonus: Those not taking the free
tour will be compensated for at RMB600.
Choose one from the following:-
a) Before the commencement of the camp :
January 8 - full day tour in Shanghai. Full day January 9 and up till
4pm January 10 - free time for
sighting-seeing and shopping.
b) Alternatively, you can arrive on January 10, 2004 before 1pm and be reimbursed in cash in lieu of the
free tour.
