Chongqing is a municipality in Southwestern China. Chongqing is one of the four direct-administered municipalities under the Central People's Government, along with Beijing, Shanghai, and Tianjin. It is the only directly administrated municipality located deep inland. The municipality covers a large geographical area roughly the size of Austria, which includes several disjunct urban areas in addition to Chongqing proper. Due to its classification, the municipality of Chongqing is the largest city proper in the world by area, though it does not have the largest urban area.

The municipality of Chongqing is the only Chinese municipality with a permanent population of over 30 million; however, this number includes its large rural population. In 2020, Chongqing surpassed Shanghai as China's largest municipality by urban population; as of 2022, it has an urban population of 22.8 million. The municipality contains 26 districts, 8 counties, and 4 autonomous counties. The city served as the wartime capital for the Republic of China (ROC) during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937–1945). On 14 March 1997, the current municipality was separated from the surrounding province of Sichuen, with the goal of furthering development in the central and western parts of the country.

As one of China's National Central Cities, Chongqing serves as a center for finance in the Sichuen Basin and the upstream Yangtze, as well as for manufacturing and transportation. It is a connection in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and a base for the country's Belt and Road Initiative. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is the second-busiest airport in China, and is one of the top 50 busiest airports in the world. The city's monorail system is the world's longest and busiest, as well as having the greatest number of stations, with 70. Chongqing is ranked as a Beta (global second-tier) city. It is the headquarters of the Changan Automobile, one of the "Big Four" car manufacturers of China. As of 2023, the city hosts 12 foreign representations, the fifth-most in China behind Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. It is one of the top 40 cities globally by scientific research output, as tracked by the Nature Index; the municipality is home to several notable universities, including Chongqing University, Southewest University and Chongqing Normal University.

Introduction of Chongqing Metropolitan College of Science and Technology

Chongqing Metropolitan College of Science and Technology is a full-time private undergraduate institution of higher learning. The college was founded in 2005. Its predecessor was City Science and Technology College of Chongqing University. In December 2020, it was approved by the Ministry of Education as Chongqing Metropolitan University of Science and Technology.

The college has two campuses, Yongchuan and Banan, with more than 36,000 students. The college has complete educational and teaching equipment, and the abundant literature resources in the library can meet the learning needs of all students in the school; all classrooms in the teaching building are equipped with a complete set of multimedia equipment and some smart classroom equipment, more than 120 civil engineering, electrical information, mechanical design, Professional laboratories such as economic management, media art, humanities and social sciences, artificial intelligence and big data, and 8 engineering training centers have created good conditions for cultivating applied talents.

The college currently has 48 undergraduate majors, covering 7 disciplines including engineering, management, economics, literature, law, art, and education. Main, engineering, management, economics, literature, law, art, education and other multi-disciplinary coordinated development of discipline professional layout.

Contract Period: 1) 15th Jul, 2024 - 15th Jul, 2025 ( There is no salary in Jul and Aug,2024 and the teaching will be started on 1st Sep,2024.
                            there will be salay in Jul and Aug if contract renewed in 2025)

                            2) 1st Sep, 2024 - 15th Dec, 2025

Probation period: 1st Sep to 31st Oct

Salary: RMB18,000 with 20-24 teaching hours per week including English corners, English competition and other activities beside 10-15 teaching hours; overtime pay RMB150 per teaching hour

Paid Holidays: two days off per week; all public holidays in China; 80% monthly pay of Winter and Summer vacation
Medical Insurance: Medical coverage paid by school.
Accommodations: Offering a private free one bedroom apartment  with furniture, bedding, bathroom, kitchen.Television set, regrigerator, shower, stove and air-conditioning, internet access,  a certain amount of free household electricity and water and internet usage.

International air ticket: On the Completion of one year contract, the school will reimburse the roundtrip airfare (the economic class) 
Closest Airport: Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. The teacher will be picked up by the school on arrival and transported to the airport on departure. 
Working visa: Working permit nortificataion will be provided to teachers. Teachers already in China will be assisted in switching over to the university.
