Brief Introduction of the Wuhan city

The university is located in Wuhan city Huibei province. It is rich in culture and history. Wuhan's civilization began about 3,500 years ago, and is of great importance in Chinese culture, the military, economy and politics. Famous scenic spots in Wuhan include Yellow Crane Tower, Guiyuan Temple, East Lake, and the Museum of the 1911 Revolution. 

Modern day Wuhan ranks the third in China in the field of Science and Technology. More than 500 research institutes and universities give Wuhan powerful human capital resources for her industries.Wuhan features solid and comprehensive industrial power, as well as textiles, plastics and ship-building. Wuhan is proud of her 4 pillars of metallurgy, automobiles, machinery and high-tech industries. The year of 1995 witnessed the comprehensive economic power of Wuhan which ranked high amongst the 10 top Chinese cities. 

Wuhan is the largest financial and commercial center in Central China. More than 2,000 financial institutions are involved in savings and financing of capital, issuing and exchange of stocks and bonds. Both state and private-run commercial enterprises make Wuhan a flourishing market.Wuhan was opened to the outside world early in 1858, and was approved to be an open city in the status of Guangzhou and Shanghai in 1978 by the new China government. The foreign trade of Wuhan enjoys an important position in the whole country. Executives of many famous foreign enterprises, like Citron of France, Budweiser and Coca Cola of the USA, NEC of Japan and Philips of Holland, have visited Wuhan and they subsequently made investment there by establishing joint-ventures. Wuhan is a city of opportunities. The city is now more open to the outside world with the start of the Three Gorges (Sanxia) Project and the open policy for the whole Yangtze Valley. 

Brief Introduction of the university

The Wuhan Technology and Business University was founded in 2002. Approved by the State National Affairs Committee and the People’s Government of Hubei Province as well as confirmed by the State Ministry of Education, it is an independent university which the primary focus is conducting undergraduate-level and specialist education. 
There are about 12,783 students in the university.

In 2006, our university  was evaluated as the “National Top 20 Independent Colleges” by the websites Sina.com, Webo.com of the Education Ministry, Tencent.com and Uschool.com, which are all portal websites or authoritative websites.

July 2002

Approved by the State Nationalities Affairs Committee and Hubei Provincial Government, Hongbo College of South-central University for Nationalities was founded with the joint efforts of South-centralUniversity for Nationalities and Wuhan Hongbo Higher Education Facilities Investment Co. Ltd.

March 2003

The College was renamed as International Engineering and Commerce College of South-central University for Nationalities with the approval of the State Nationalities Affairs Committee and Hubei Education Bureau.

February 2004

The College was renamed as Engineering and Commerce College of South-central University for Nationalities with the approval of State Education Ministry.

April  2011

The College was renamed as Wuhan Yangtze Business University with the approval of State Education Ministry

Monthly Salary: 9000-9500 RMB

Teaching hours: 18-20 hours per week

Accommodation: A free private apartment will be provided. The apartment includes one bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom (With air-condition, TV, Telephone, Bed, Sofa. etc.). free ADSL Access . Fridge, micro- wave stove, phone, and cooking utilities. Travel Allowance: The school will reimburse the teacher the cost of round trip air-ticket limited to RMB 8,000 on completion of the contract. If air-ticket is not required, teacher will be paid cash as a bonus equivalent to a round-trip air-ticket at market price, limited to RMB 8,000.
